Administrative Assistant/Medical Transcriptionist (Radiology)

Overview
Chilton Medical Center, a member of the prestigious Atlantic Health System is currently seeking a Per Diem Administrative Assistant/Medical Transcriptionist in the Radiology Administration Department varied weekdays 7am-3pm or 10am-6pm and every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday), 8am-4pm.
Responsibilities
Transcribe Radiologist dictations into the Powerscribe 360 system, schedule Radiology procedures as necessary, communicate to referring physician offices, perform various "back end" clerical functions for the Radiologists and Department administrative staff as necessary.
Qualifications
Education:
HS diploma/GED required
Responsibilities:
Clinical knowledge and experience with medical terminology is preferred and extremely helpful for this position
Previous experience as a transcriber in a medical environment is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are required for this position
Candidates must also demonstrate exceptional phone etiquette
Candidates for this position will work a varied work schedule, including some Holidays and weekends as the Department needs
This position will also cover full time staff out of PTO, this will mostly be on weekdays

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
