Nurse Manager, Intensive Care Unit

Chilton Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a transformational leader for management and oversight of a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) working primarily 8:00am - 4:00pm.
The Intensive Care Unit utilizes tele intensivists on the off-shift hours, and this Shared Governance environment is in the process of construction for an updated, state-of-the-art unit adding 9 acuity adjustable beds. The selected leader will have 24/7 accountability for this unit and also oversees the Rapid-Response Team.
Essential Job Function:
The candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job
Candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
BSN required
MSN preferred
A valid NJ RN license
BLS required
ACLS required
CCRN preferred
Relevant Experience:
At least 3- 5 years of Critical Care nursing experience as well as previous leadership/charge experience in critical care setting

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
